Why this length? We designed each case to give children time to settle into the story, follow clues and finish a complete investigation in one manageable reading session. It gives focused reading a clear goal and a satisfying ending. This is a guide, not a timer: children can read at their own pace, with adult support when helpful.

TWO LEVELS. THE SAME MYSTERY.
Choose the language level that feels right.
Regular Milo cases offer ages 4–6 and ages 6–8 editions. The essential mystery, clues and reasoning stay the same. The language and reading load change.
AGES 4–6
A gentler reading load.
Simpler vocabulary, shorter sentences and less text support younger readers. An adult can share the reading while the child makes the investigation choices.
AGES 6–8
More language to explore.
Longer passages and richer vocabulary suit children comfortable with more reading. The extra language does not turn it into a different mystery.
Age ranges are a guide. Choose for your child’s reading comfort, with adult support when helpful. Special cases show their available editions on the product page.
